Team Member Spotlight: Meet Miranda Graves

Miranda Graves & Connor

Keeping Tax Season Running Smoothly

As tax season reaches its busiest stretch, Miranda Graves plays a key role in keeping the firm’s tax operations running smoothly.

Miranda joined Barnett Financial & Tax after discovering an opportunity that aligned with her interest in finance, strong organizational skills, and natural ability to work with people.

As Tax Operations Manager, she works closely with Neil Bonser, CPA, supporting the day-to-day tax preparation process and communicating with clients. Working across our offices in Georgia, Michigan, and North Carolina, she helps serve clients in more than twenty states. With the tax deadline fast approaching, her days are filled with coordinating documents, answering client questions, and helping ensure filings move efficiently through the process.

The Power of Empathy

One of Miranda’s strongest talents, her fellow workers report, is empathy. She understands that taxes can feel overwhelming for many people, and she takes pride in helping clients feel more confident and less anxious about the filing process.

“I really enjoy helping people feel comfortable in their tax filing decisions,” she says. “My goal is to make the process as easy and as burden-free as possible.”

A Passion for Learning and Growth

A book that had a meaningful impact on Miranda’s thinking about money is Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. The book explores two different mindsets about money—one focused on traditional employment and security, and the other centered on financial education, investing, and building wealth through creative thinking.

What resonated most with Miranda was the author’s emphasis on continual learning and growth, a mindset she strives to reflect in her own life.

Life Outside the Office

Outside the office, Miranda enjoys golfing, baking, and crochet. She also enjoys spending time with her fiancé and her family. With spring around the corner, she is especially looking forward to getting back out on the golf course after a long Michigan winter.

Miranda enjoys being part of a team where she can help people navigate important financial decisions with greater confidence. During tax season, that mission keeps her especially busy.
